Knowing God; where does one begin?

The Lord is the source of all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. That is why He set the first commandment to love Him.

Loving Him begins by learning about Him and talking with Him, just like any other relationship; it is accomplished through reading His word and prayer.

It is then that He will manifest Himself through His Word, and many other ways. You know it’s Him because He causes the words to go straight to the heart.

Once in the heart, He chooses how He will teach you the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding He possesses.

How fast you progress depends upon your willingness to follow His guidance.

This is why some have been Christians for many years and still struggle with simple obedience while others, new to the faith have left them far behind.

The Lord highly values obedience, otherwise known as the “fear of the Lord;”

And He rewards those who choose it.

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
