“Listening with the Breath”

Be sure to hear carefully, then do it.

Proverbs 4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

Strong’s Definition: Hear: A primitive root; to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience)

Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible
Hear : Report :Obedience: A careful hearing of someone or something as well as responding appropriately in obedience or action.

  • listening with the breath]

To “listen with the breath” is to wait to breathe to be sure all is carefully heard.

God’s instructions are that critical.

Jesus confirmed it and warned of the consequences:

Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
