Judgment
At judgment, two tests must be passed:
- You must know and love Jesus
- You must have loved others
These tests correlate with the first two commandments. The question really is, how do you know and love Jesus? His Word has the answer:
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
The second commandment is fulfilled by keeping the first:
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
Many call obedience works which is not correct: works are the results of obedience, which, in itself, is investing time in a relationship with the Father causing His commands to be heard. Then the decision to obey (or not) is made, generating (or not) the works of love to be manifested that are required in the second test.
