Psalm 119:138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

This verse can be understood as:

“The commands that You have given us to join with You, to be repeated again and again in exact adherence to the divine law, are security and stability.”

It supports the first commandment:

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
