Psalm 119:30 JOURNAL NOTES

Psalm 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

entrance = door = Jesus

John 10:9 KJV I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

words = commands from the Father

John14:24 KJV He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

light = Jesus’ followers

Matthew 5:14 KJV Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

understanding = in Hebrew, literally “the continuing of the house”

Understanding originates from God:

Job 32:8 KJV But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Understanding establishes the house:

Proverbs 24:3 KJV Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

The house is our spiritual dwelling:

1Peter 2:5 KJV Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

simple = one easily persuaded, seduced or deceived

Those without understanding are walking in the flesh.

Those with understanding, put away the flesh and walk in the spirit.

Understanding in the Spirit brings everlasting life.

Gal 6:8 KJV For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
