Small Beginnings

Many attempt to know God through the study of many books; but all that is needed is the one written by the Creator Himself.

Read the love letter He authored and cry out for the knowledge and understanding that comes directly from the author.

Many years ago, I attended a sunday school class and the teacher was phenomenal. This guy knew so much that I actually said in my thoughts:

“I will never know that much so I am not even going to try”

That statement cost me another three years before I began the journey of knowing the Creator with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength.

When I did begin, I inadvertantly stumbled upon the key to the kingdom of God: relentless obedience.

Applying my heart to God’s Word, I documented all I learned through the experiences He brought me through. Consequently, I wrote a book named “The Making of a Godly Warrior.”

I asked the teacher from long ago if he would read it and give me feedback. He graciously agreed.

His feedback:

“Jesus said something that has changed my life, made it so simple, not easy, just simple, He is very deep and yet very simple. He said, “I will show you what it is like when someone comes to Me, listens to My teaching, and then follows it.” (Luke 6:47) Come, listen, follow! Simple, yet rare to find even in churches. It looks like to me that’s what your book is about.”

Don’t discount the day of small beginnings;

Everyone has to begin somewhere.

Proverbs 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
