Loving your enemy

Loving your enemy: it’s impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Here’s how:

Jesus said to love your enemies. The word for love He used is defined as “a decision of the head.”

Loving your enemy (and your neighbor as well) is accomplished through a loving act (not a feeling) toward them of obedience to Him.

It isn’t easy, no doubt; but it is doable.

Once we accomplish our part (the initial act of obedience) the Lord prepares the way for the impossible: He moves the love from the head to the heart.

Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
